Great Fish awards party planned Oct. 26
The Whitefish Community Foundation will host its Great Fish Awards Watch Party at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26. Tune in to the Whitefish Community Foundation YouTube Channel at www.whitefishcommunityfoundation.org to watch, and celebrate the close of the sixth annual Great Fish Community Challenge.
The Great Fish Percentage Match on the first $20,000 raised by participating nonprofits, and total amount raised during the 2020 campaign will be announced.
Cheer for your favorite nonprofits as their grant awards are announced, hear stories of accomplishment and see which nonprofits win over $40,000 in special awards, including the Great Fish Award and accompanying $7,500 grant.
Participating nonprofits were based in the following communities: Bigfork (one), Columbia Falls (two), Hungry Horse (one), Kalispell (22) and Whitefish (30). Each organization serves a broad range of communities in the Flathead, and collectively impacts everyone who lives here.
During a difficult year, Great Fish donors rallied from every community. Whitefish Community Foundation’s Circle of Giving donors contribute the majority of the Great Fish Match Fund, and makes it possible for the Foundation to run the campaign free of charge for participating nonprofits.
Together with hard-working nonprofits, this year’s campaign was the most successful campaign to date, raising over $460,000 more during the campaign than last year.
Whitefish Community Foundation is dedicated to fostering philanthropy, building endowments and helping donors and nonprofits benefit the community.
